Swimming Lessons
Banbridge Leisure Centre currently operates a 'learn to swim' programme for both adults and children.
Our 'learn to swim' programme for children aged 5 years and over, is delivered in accordance with the British Amateur Swimming Association's (ASA) National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS). Lessons delivered using the National Plan use fun and games to take children from the first splash to full competence in the pool and will ultimately help your child develop confidence in the water.
The NPTS guides your child through ten clearly defined stages, seven stages of which Banbridge Leisure Centre deliver as part of their swimming tuition programme. All of the NPTS is supported by the ASA Awards scheme which allows your child to complete badges and certificates as they achieive different levels of competencies.
